THE UNIFIER, otherwise known by her assigned birth name Madeline Blighty and by the media 'Mad Maddie' is a Supe that represents the United Kingdom. She could be considered Britain's version of The Homelander.

BACKGROUND

Born sometime in the early year of 1982, Madeline Blighty was conceived from the semen of The British Bulldog, The United Kingdom's first ever superhero that was created as a weapon for World War II. Partnered with an unknown egg donor, Maddie's conception was perceived to be an anomaly. Raised in a lab surrounded by doctors, it was said that her artificial upbringing without a real family lead to Madeline becoming narcissistic, violent, and downright hateful. Throughout her childhood, 'Maddie' was put through painful physical experiments and surgeries to test the true limits of her abilities, being looked upon as a killing machine for political purposes rather than a child that needed love and nurturing. She was also subjected to patriotic brainwashing, sitting in front of old films to form her personality, such as footage of the Royal Family, London and English History.Madeline's Mum was a lab doctor that was persistently cruel to her in an attempt to harden her up for her future responsibilities. The young girl was made to believe that this individual was in fact her real Mother, but she executed her in a fit of rage at 13, when she had overheard that this was not the case. This was a highlight of her life that emphasised that Madeline hated being lied to, something that would continue on into adulthood. Prior to her death, she had already caused similar incidents to other tutors and doctors, either due to indignation or anger. During her time in the lab, Madeline had grown into her own mind to endure the isolation. When she was finally allowed to leave the lab for good, a 16 year old Madeline was deemed old enough to legally consent to make her own decisions according to UK law. However, she had already accepted her placed identity and took up her job as The UK's Greatest Hero, being given her first costume and revealed to the public. When she was not prioritising the safety of the people, she was pretty much a showpony for the monarchy and the media, particularly the BBC. Her main role was to keep the UK powerful and influential, especially for trading deals and controlling terrorism. She admitted as a teen that her favourite part of being a hero was trying new food, modelling and appearing in commercials. Her first few years were considered to be normal, and she was happily embraced and even adored by the public. However, the older she became, the naturally more independent she would evolve to be, deliberately pushing the boundaries to see what she could get away with. She didn't understand how someone as powerful as herself was second best to the King and the media, and due to this, she began to take things into her own hands. This lead to some controversial outspoken moments, and she handled this attention very poorly, angrily lashing out at paparazzi and journalists. This earned her the nickname of 'Mad Maddie' by her critics. As her late twenties approached, a particularly gutsy journalist had pushed her to boiling point. and she mercilessly executed them in the heat of the moment. She was placed on leave for a long time due to the amount of effort it had taken to get this swept under the rug and hidden away from the public.Much to their relief, Madeline had gotten more collected as she aged into her thirties. This was concluded to be normal, assuming that her intense aggression was a result of adolescence and that she was softening into her prime. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and Maddie had simply learned to maintain a calmer facade. Her cold, calculating side had taken the spotlight, and she knew herself that she could get away with a lot more than what she was allowing herself to. She was The Unifier. She was capable of killing anyone that crossed her, and she started to emphasise this point politely when the people in office tried to keep her on a leash. Both parties met in the middle by giving Unifier her own independence, as long as she did her duties and didn't execute anyone unless it was absolutely neccessary. As she has approached her late thirties to early forties, it has simply become a stand-up routine of her saying something offensive, being placed on leave, and then returning. Unifier herself had began to get fed up of this, finding it rather pathetic that the Government were still trying to tell themselves that she answered to them. She wanted to show once and for all that she answered to no one; that she was The Unifier. Mere people were supposed to answer to her, not the other way around. Giving the middle finger to the higher-ups, Unifier casually took off to New York to seek her equal, The Homelander.

POWERS AND ABILITIES

Powers

  • Superhuman Strength: Unifier is very well known for her strength. She can completely overpower the majority of other superheroes, though there is an exception for ones on her level, such as Homelander or Soldier Boy. However, she has not only been known to put up a vicious fight, but she has even gone into an excited trance whenever she has faced a decent challenge. She will not hesitate to fight dirty, and will even fight to the death if it means keeping her pride.

  • Superhuman Durability: Unifier is very resistant against physical harm; not only completely bulletproof, but also unphased by explosions. However, this doesn't mean that her durability doesn't have limits. Against superheroes that would be considered her level if not stronger than her own, Unifier could very easily be made bruised and bleeding.

  • Superhuman Speed: Unifier has been able to fly and move on the ground at supersonic speed, easily being able to break the sound barrier.

  • Superhuman Stamina: Unifier possesses stamina that is enhanced to inhuman levels; explaining her rather average body type despite her capabilities. Her muscles produce practically no fatigue toxins during physical activity, and can withstand the stresses of moving at superhuman speeds or performing other superhuman feats for extended periods of time without tiring or becoming weak.

  • Superhuman Hearing: Unifier is able to detect sounds from miles away, including a person's heartbeat and blood pressure. She can easily sense when someone is suddenly feeling a passionate emotion, such as excitement, anxiety or anger. She enjoys using this to her advantage, smiling and nodding along even when she knows she is being lied to. Many have said that she can sense who is behind her before she has even turned around to address them, simply because she has said that she can tell a person by the creak of their footsteps.

  • Superhuman Smell: Unifier can easily sense the fear of an individual simply by smelling the adrenaline on them. She can also locate explosives and sense someone's presence.

  • Heat Vision: Unifier has the ability to generate red heat energy from within her eyes and can project it outwards as high powered beams. So powerful that they can cut through pretty much anything, she can easily melt flesh, bone, and even machinery. She is also able to control the intensity of the beams on her own. However, due to her explosive anger, it is said that she has lost control of her energy beams when experiencing intense rage. These blasts do not have a significant impact against other supes of higher durability.

  • X-Ray Vision: Unifier can see through any solid object or surface, the exception being surfaces and objects lined with zinc. She has had a reputation for using this to stalk individuals that have wronged her, information collecting to use it against them.

  • Telescopic Vision: Unifier can easily zoom in on things, allowing her to see distant objects, people and surroundings.

  • Supersonic Flight: Unifier can levitate and propel herself at supersonic speeds, allowing her to cover vast distances simply in a matter of minutes.

ABILITIES

  • Charisma: Despite her controversial reputation, it is easy to say that Unifier is extremely charismatic for her position. She is easily able to get public support simply by giving improvised speeches and maintaining a balance of rebellion, yet elegance. She relies upon the fact that the public crave relatability, happily embracing her constant placements on leave for speaking her unprofessional political opinions on television. However, this does have its limits, especially in the rare cases in which she loses her temper. This has ended badly for her, earning the taunting title of 'Mad Maddie' in the papers.

  • Intelligence: Unifier is a very cunning and manipulative individual, easily being able to coerce most people into doing what she wants. She has gotten herself out of trouble multiple times, simply because she knows how to talk her way out of things. Maddie is more of a mental abuser than a physical one, easily pushing and pushing her victims to lash out, making her look like the sane one in comparison.

  • Acting: Unifier has been known to be a skilled actor, especially when she was younger. Her heroic facade is capable of tricking most people that she is an ideal hero to her country, causing them to easily lower their guard and trust her. She is especially good at this when she is in a pleasant mood, but less capable of acting when she is angry. It seems as if Madeline even gets sucked into her own performance if things are going particularly well for her.

  • Intimidation: Despite the fact that The Unifier stands at a mere 5'2'', she easily has a very imposing authoritative presence, especially to her lackeys. She has been known to be a 'ticking time bomb' when she is in a bad mood, and many supes are afraid of Unifier, simply because they are aware that she wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone without conscience if they cross her.

APPEARANCE

The Unifier is a toned woman of shorter than average height, sporting black, parted long hair and pale skin. She wears a dark suit reminiscent to a feminine version of Superman. Unifier is mostly identified for the long Union-Jack cape that hangs from her shoulders, which are sported with silver pads, representing her patriotic appearance. She is occasionally seen with casual clothing, but this is to blend in when she wishes. These could be considered casual to slightly gothic clothing, such as leather jackets, hoodies and jeans. She is portrayed by Krysten Ritter. (In reference to Jessica Jones)

PERSONALITY

Unifier at a first glance, is goofy, oblivious, and very casual, rather stereotypical of your average Brit. This is merely for show, and it could represent how the UK is just seen as a tiny passive island today. On camera, her 'masked' persona maintains an elegant 'pip-pip cheerio' tone and she may be portrayed as good-natured and harmless, that is until something 'obstructs justice.' Behind the scenes however, The Unifier is a lot more sadistic and relentless. In her own world, newspapers have nicknamed her 'Mad Maddie' due to exposure to her unstable nature. Her mood often 'flip-flops' and she can endure a fuckton while barely being phased the one minute, and then something extremely stupid can tip her over the edge the next. What makes her unnerving is probably the fact that you can't tell when she's joking or being serious. She will basically narrate your end with a smiling happy face, and she can be extremely sadistic if you rub her up the wrong way.One of her favourite things to do in her spare time is to taunt people, but the issue with this is that it is impossible to tell if it remains as harmless banter, or escalates and becomes straight up psychological torture. She either doesn't know when to stop, or simply doesn't care, and it's likely the latter. Unifier is the embodiment of a 'reactive abuser' someone who pushes and pushes someone to react, before severely hurting someone out of 'self defence.' Though her existence does represent British traditionalism, she is somewhat of a misandrist, and believes men are moronic brutes that can't do anything properly. She is likely to be nicer to younger women, though that doesn't mean they're not spared her nastier side if she deems it necessary. In comparison to Homelander's obsession with control and Mommy issues, Blighty has Daddy issues and is somewhat of a masochist, mostly due to the lack of affection and absent parental figures in her life. A side effect of her isolation has rendered her sociopathic and she often resorts to intimidating or tormenting people around her to keep them in line, or even to entertain herself!

Unifier and homelander's differences

  • Homelander is easily angered by insults, especially from people he deems inferior. Unifier on the other hand has a decent sense of humour, enjoying a roasting session and even seemingly getting off on verbal abuse. She often comedically tries to pacify him, telling him he's ''getting all excited again over nothing.''

  • Unifier is not brought to anger as easily as Homelander is. However, Unifier is extremely out of control when she is angry, often destroying everything and everyone around her in a fit of rage, almost like a terrifyingly powerful Mr Hyde in comparison to her elegant and charming persona on the surface. Homelander on the other hand, can still easily manipulate everything around him rationally when he is pissed off.

  • Homelander is physically stronger than Unifier. Unifier however, is a lot more agile than Homelander, and could easily be ''too quick.'' She prefers to fight dirty, often sneaking up on people to attack, despite her love of a decent challenge.

  • Homelander is more of a physical abuser, resorting to intimidation to control his victims. Unifier, though just as guilty of using intimidation to control, is more of a mental to reactive abuser. She'll deliberately push and push people who cross her, breaking them down to the point of subservience, or ruining their reputation when they finally bite back and throw the first punch, making her look like the rational one of the two.

  • Unlike Homelander, The Unifier has no kids, not even any she doesn't know about. One of her biggest dreams is to have a family of her own, especially a daughter.

LITTLE FACTS

  • The Unifier's real father is The British Bulldog, a hard bastard made for a WW2 weapon. Basically that Universe's Soldier Boy. Yes he has a mustache. She definitely looks like her Dad.

  • Unifier's world slightly follows more of the comic, with her 'Black Noir', a female supe known as Vantablack, turning out to be a clone of her designed to try and keep her in line.

  • She loves 80s rock and likely dances when no one's watching.

  • Her diet is very stereotypical of what you would represent the UK with; tea, crumpets, full English breakfasts, fish and chips. Her favourite food is traditional British pancakes.

  • Unifier had a different suit when she was younger, one that was more feminine/ladylike due to her programming as a child. She angrily rebelled against this, wanting to look more like a leader, as well as desiring to be taken seriously, thus leading to the look she has today.

  • As a way of seizing independence (as well as her intense dislike for being controlled), she learned to cook on her own so that her higher-ups could stop trying to control what she eats.

  • Unifier's insults heavily vary. On the one hand she could be calling someone a 'chippy oik who is desperate for the limelight' but on the other hand she could be calling you a 'filthy fuckin' bastard.'

  • She knows of Silver Kincaid.

ABOUT THE MUN

The Mun behind this account is 21+ and an experienced writer of over 5 years. They also work full time as well as attend further education, therefore online activity may be unpredictable. This account is considered adult themed and minors should not be interacting.

RULES

  • Please do not interact if you are very sensitive or take online shenanigans personally. I will emphasise that Uni is morally questionable and do not condone her behaviour or actions, I am simply playing a character that is a parody of society for shit's and giggles.

  • Please keep lewd or severely NSFW content in Twitter circles and DMs!

  • Please feel free to chat with me about anything ‘behind the scenes' in the DMs, communication is one hell of a drug if we’re going to have fun, and I want to make our interactions just as fun for you as they are for me.

  • If we follow one another, I will take that as being able to interact with your posts unless stated otherwise.

  • **Please block me if you do not wish to interact, and I will do the same for you. **

FAQ

  • ''Did you draw the artwork?'' - Yes, all pieces of art on here are owned and drawn by me unless stated otherwise :)

  • ''Can I tag you?'' - Please do, I love the interaction! Send me a starter, memes, photographs, banter etc.

  • ''Are you actually British?'' - Yes! The slang used here is definitely my own, LOL.

  • ''What would you consider dark themed?'' - Generally everything that fits into The Boys Universe. Black comedy, psychological horror, intimidation, gore, major character death, major trauma etc.

  • ''Do you do long-term narratives?'' - Absolutely. Long term writing is my favourite kind!

  • ''Do you do lewd?'' - To be honest lewd is hit and miss for me, especially with being in a relationship OOC though they are fully aware of my online antics and are fine with it. I enjoy treating my content more like an episode of Game of Thrones if it would come close to that kind of thing. Let's just say that I generally have writing partners and we've built up a whole timeline and universe before that has ever come into focus as a plot. I guess I just don't really like roleplaying raunchy stuff for the sake of it as I tend to get rather bored of it, so if you're really that intent then at least come up with a good plot that revolves around it.

  • ''You copied me/this person-'' - I've had different people say this, and every time I have asked for proof it's been returned with a passive aggressive status or a block. I will say that every time something has been too similar it's usually been a coincidence. Most accusations have included concepts done to death even before I have done it and to me it just comes across as people having a lack of emotional maturity and wanting to start an argument for the sake of it. I'd prefer you communicate with me in the DMs if it's that much of an issue. Personally I couldn't give a fuck if anyone wants to use my assets as this is nothing more than a hobby, so if you want to copy some of my shit you're more than welcome to as long as our profiles aren't easily confused.

  • ''Do you write in DMS?'' - Yes, though I do heavily prefer timeline nonsense as my DMs get clogged quite quickly with messages and therefore it gives me less motivation to check them.

  • ''You haven't replied to my post-'' - I've started bookmarking now to avoid this problem, but it's most likely that this bird app has eaten your notification. Poke me once in the DMs, but please don't nag me; I have a life outside of the net so it's normal for me to disappear.

  • ''Do you interact with characters from other verses?'' - Yes! As long as we feel our interaction would work for the universe we're in and it doesn't feel like Kingdom Hearts written by a drunk.
